A great atmosphere over in Meredith for the annual New England Pond Hockey Classic opening day. Mother Nature has certainly been stingy with winter this year - but when the puck dropped this morning the ice was ready!
Teams converged onto Lake Waukewan ready to play as they laced up their skates
The Backyard Ice team brought along their sense of humor and their lifejackets for a noon time matchup with the RFD Flatlanders team.
The essentials for many a weekend warrior ice hockey player ~~ tape and ibuprofen!
Overall a fabulous job done by the organizers of this event with folks from far and wide enjoying the Lakes Region at her best. Congrats to Scott Crowder and crew!
