The Difference a Week Makes

It was just about a week ago that I did some work with Lakes Biplane in Gilford. We flew over Lake Winnipesaukee and took in the fall colors and wonderful scenery of our area.

Granted it was a brisk morning and the air was cold....

but certainly nothing like what was in store for us this weekend. Most of you that know me know I love the winter season.

I guess I'm feeling that things don't quite feel right....

A snowstorm last evening brought along with it a beautiful morning to wake up to...

bright blue skies and snow covered trees.

Yes, I realize everyone is thinking it's too early and they aren't ready for it.

But, seriously... did you not take a look out your window this morning with just a little bit of wonder in your heart and think what a beautiful day?

Smokey thought so and was getting into it...

...truthfully he just wanted me to feed him another cookie ;)

As a Photographer I Have to Stop

On my way to an appointment yesterday the clouds were forming over Lily Pond.

...and I've learned that

as a photographer I have to stop,

not only to take a photograph but to enjoy the beauty that Mother Nature presents to us on a daily basis.

Today she brought a brief shower along with a double rainbow!

...and then the clouds cleared as quickly as they came.
