Bringing back some days of old....

Bringing back the marathon water ski races from the 60's and 70's with the 2012 "Winniskiathon" event on Lake Winnipesaukee

The 16.4 mile course started from Saunders Bay at Varney Point 

Headed out past Welch Island and around Parker Island to finish back in Saunders Bay.

Rattlesnake and Mink

but 2 out of the 274 islands on Lake Winnipesaukee  

A hike up the Rattlesnake Island trail offers a spectacular view looking out towards Sleeper, Cub and Treasure Islands.

And then a venture out to Mink Island for a bit of wake surfing.

Who'd of thought you could surf the lake!
