This week has had its share of turbulence in the atmosphere.
Storms coming in and out within minutes of each other. Sometimes not allowing much of a breath in between the sun, the clouds and the rain.
On this day the stormy weather rendered a "day off" and offered an impromptu day trip to Portsmouth to view the tall ships in town.
We headed out with quite a bit of sunshine.... alongside a constant hint of storminess within our sight.
Folks wandered around the pier and took in the majesty of the ships in port as well as the beauty of Portsmouth herself.
This series of three photographs make me smile.
The likelihood of us getting back to our car before the rain hit would have been much greater had I not had my camera with me!
All's well that ends well
Just as the skies opened up with a deluge of water we happened to be right across the street from a nice Thai restaurant.
Huh, having my camera with me
made for a perfect pit stop in our day.
Life is always better when you go with the flow and accept the little surprises along the way....
enjoy,
k
