Turns from East to West

We tried something new and bought the Ikon Pass this season.  It gives us the opportunity to visit different ski areas from the East to the West.
We love our home mountain of Gunstock but it's also fun to spread our wings a bit and explore.

Some of our adventures to share....

Steamboat in early February.  We hit this trip just right.  Huge amounts of snow before we arrived and then it continued on throughout our week.  With a few "bluebird" days in between.  Doesn't get much better than that!
Steamboat isn't just named a "ski town"  It truly lives by its' name.
The people there absolutely love winter and embrace it every chance they get.  So many fun activities for us to join in on with our group.   Great friends ~ great times ~  needless to say we had a fun-filled trip.

Took a pit stop in Vermont by the Quechee Gorge as we made our way over to Killington.
The Simon Pierce glass blowing workshop was a treat.  Located in an old mill building that has stories to tell from the past with a couple of young glass blowers working their craft while enjoying folks stopping by to watch.

Outside - well let's just say "quintessential" Vermont.  A lovely day to stop for a lunch break on our way to Killington.  A+++ all around!
Skiing was great - crowds were minimal~just how I like it - a great little getaway for two.

We've created quite a few adventures thanks to the Ikon Pass - and looking forward to venturing out for a few more!

enjoy,

k
