Once again as we begin the month of September we gather on Sunday evenings for our weekly Football games. This tradition started around five years ago. Our beach gatherings throughout the summer were coming to an end and watching the Patriots play was an extension that we were all game for. We get together and "theme" our Sunday's around the Patriots and who they are playing.
This week "Texas BBQ"
Truly though we gather for great friends, great food as well as nurturing one another. The bounty of nature through our gardening efforts was showcased in many of the items on our menu. The jalapeño hot poppers and bloody Mary dip to the roasted beets and even the Paloma cocktails!
Our living room runneth over this week with the inclusion of members of the Kallmerten Clan visiting from NY and MA. An extra TV set up - and as life would have it the men were at one tv and the women at the other. Even Miss Gretchen joined the ladies. Such fun to expand our squad!
We always round out our evening with a yummy dessert from Miss Tracey. A slice for everyone from our "circle".
As I mentioned above our gatherings are so much more than football.....
